Since starting his law firm, Andrew Lipscomb has represented tenants, business owners, and many other from around Colorado. He has devoted an extensive portion of his time to defending residential and commercial tenants facing eviction–particularly those of few means. In situations where tenants would inevitably be evicted, Andrew negotiates favorable terms for his clients, such as good references from former landlords and forgiveness of past due rent. He has also pursued property managers, landlords, and problem neighbors on behalf of clients, securing large settlements in many of those cases.

Andrew earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law and is admitted to practice law in Colorado. Prior to becoming an attorney, Andrew served Boulder’s homeless and working poor by preparing and serving meals at the Boulder Bridge House before being hired as a case manager. He specialized in securing housing for the area’s neediest residents and obtaining identification for those with none.

During his time in law school, Andrew was elected as an Honor Board representative and eventually Co-Chair. There he heard and adjudicated complaints of academic dishonesty and spearheaded a committee to rewrite and modernize the Code of Academic Conduct. He interned under the Honorable Carol Haller at Colorado Legal Service’s ID Project and later returned to volunteer as a client intake assistant.

In addition to practicing law, Andrew is a licensed and experienced mediator and has volunteered time with the Denver Small Claims Court to help unrepresented parties resolve their disputes. In his off-time, Andrew enjoys snowboarding and riding motorcycles.
